The Spireites put in a brilliant performance after going behind after just 5 minutes, a brace from Richards meant they were 2-1 up after 20 minutes, they hung on until the 85th minute when Pope scored the equaliser for Port Vale to make it 2-2. Cooper and Richards both went off injured, hopefully their injuries aren't too serious. The Spireites more than matched a Port Vale team that are 2nd in the table and can consider themselves unlucky not to come away with all 3 points.
