The Spireites will be looking to make it 3 wins in a row, when they travel to Torquay. The home side haven't won since Monday 28th of January. If there was an award for the worst League team of the month, they would have won it for February because they played 7 games that month and lost everyone.
Paul Cool told BBC Radio Sheffield:'If we win every game between now and the end of the season, then our season will continue. It's a great challenge.
'The attitude and mentality of the players is in a good place right now. The players are showing that they don't want the season to be over.
'If we don't get in the play-offs this season, then it is a bad season.
'Everyone thinks we'll just go to Torquay and win but nothing is like that in this league.'
Torquay are still without a former Spireite favourite centre-back Aaron Downes, who serves the final game of a two match ban. Winger Billy Bodin is on Wales Under 21 duty which means Jordan Chappell will keep his place.
Striker Rene Howe has scored 15 goals this season and also has 4 assists to his name. A big powerful centre forward Trotman will be assigned to mark him.
Chesterfield will be without Nathan Smith (foot) and Forward Armand Gnanduillet (knee).
it may be unusual to pick a defender but the Right-back could cause the Torquay defence some real problems, he gets into some good attacking positions as Oxford found to their cost, when he set Richards up for the only goal of the game.
The Spireites have a very poor record at Torquay having won 2 Drawn 8 and lost 8. The last time the Spireites won their was 24th of November 1984 with a Phil Brown penalty.
Steve Rushton is in charge of this fixture, the last time he Refereed a game involving the Spireites was last seasons home game against MK Dons which ended 1-1, with Drew Talbot scoring for the Spireites and Jay O'Shea scoring for MK Dons. There was only 2 bookings in that game, one of them being Jack Lester. In the first 11 games he refereed this season he gave out 8 red cards. He has not given out a single red since, he has given out 76 yellows in the 27 games he has refereed so far this season.
Despite the Spireites having a poor record at Plainmoor, I feel that they will be full of confidence after winning their last 2 games against a team very low on confidence. So I am going for a 2-0 win for the Spireites.
The Manager that was responsible for the Spireites winning 2 trophies in their last 2 seasons, the league 2 Title followed by the Johnstone Paint Trophy is back at the Proact with his new team Plymouth. This will be the first time John Sheridan has been to the Proact since his sacking earlier this season, I hope he gets a standing ovation from the Spireite fans after all he was one of the most successful Managers we have had at our club.
