Spireites travel too Oxford

The Spireites will be looking to build on their win last Saturday against Bristol Rovers, when a brilliant 2nd half display earned them a 2-0 victory over the Pirates. Oxford have also hit form recently a 3-1 win at Torquay followed by a 1-0 home win against Barnet.

Assistant Manager Micky Lewis told BBC Radio Oxford:'They've (Chesterfield) got some good players but have had some problems like we have and have not had a settled team.

'As we found out when we went up there they have players that can hurt you and I'm sure they will still be thinking they can get in the play-offs and will be coming here to win.'

Paul Cook told BBC Radio Sheffield:'Armand Gnanduillet is learning on the job so while there are aspects of his game that we want to improve he is doing well.

'We haven't had a good year.There's no hiding place at this club.

This is as stern a test as we could have. They've got threats all over the pitch and a great infrastructure but we must come back with three points.'

Armand Gnanduillet will be a real handful for the Oxford defence, although he is still very much a raw he makes for in his in enthusiasm and hunger, he never stops running wins most headers in the air and not afraid to take people on.
