Spireites travel to Cheltenham

The Spireites travel to Cheltenham full of confidence after their victory at Dagenham on Saturday. It won't be easy against a team that are currently 6th in the league table. Although the Spireites have never lost in the League against the Robins. Cheltenham are unbeaten in their last 5 games, winning 2 and drawing 3, they haven't kept a clean sheet in 8 games.

Vital Quotes:

Mark Yates spoke to BBC Radio Gloucester:'We know we're in for a tough game - they had a fantastic win on Saturday and have some real good players.
'Whatever team they put out, they've got good players. We know they've got strengths, but we got to take care of ourselves.
'We've got to try and play like we have done for the last few games, and if we do we can give anyone a game.'

Paul Cook spoke to BBC Radio Sheffield: I think when the fans see Tendayi involved then it gives them a lift. He is a player who can win you a game.
'They're a good, strong team who tick every box for this division.
'This is a challenge that we are looking forward to and we can come away from victorious.'

Cheltenham Town Team News:

Midfielder Darren Carter and defender Steve Elliot are available after recovering from knocks picked up in their last game.

Player to watch: Shaun Harrad

Striker Shaun Harrad is a quick and energetic goal scorer who will take his opportunities in front of goal. He is currently on a season long loan from Bury.

Chesterfield Team News:

Cook will be hoping that Jack Lester (virus) is fit again. Tendayi Darikwa (hernia) is available and his likely to be on the bench has Cook plans to stick with the same line-up that won at Dagenham.

Player to watch: Armand Gnanduillet

Armand Gnaduillet will be a real handful for the Cheltenham defence, the tall striker is quick and wins a lot of headers and he's not afraid to take people on and never stops running.

Match Facts & Stats

Spireites have won 3 n drawn 2 on their 5 league visits to Whaddon Road scoring 5 and have yet to concede a goal there. Overall the Spireites have won 8, drawn 3 lost 0.

In the first half of the season Cheltenham scored 10 goals from corners the highest in League 2, This is due to the crossing ability of Left-back Billy Jones who has 12 assists so far this season.

Ref Watch:

Andy Woolmer is in charge of this game, the last time he refereed a Spireites game was the FA Cup game at Harrow Boro,in 2010/11, the Spireites winning 2-0. He is a bit more conservative then Kettle with his yellow cards, he has given out 78 and just 3 reds in 27 games this season.

Match Prediction:

I got my first prediction of the season correct last time when I went for a 1-0 victory for the Spireites in the game at Dagenham. So I'm going for 1-0 again, I think the Spireites are capable of keeping a clean sheet and the Robins are vulnerable at the back so there's a chance the Spireites could sneak 1.

Next Fixtures:

The next match is at the Proact when Bristol Rovers who are 17th in the table are the visitors.
