The Spireites will be hoping they can get back to winning ways having not won or scored in their last 3 games. Dagenham like the Spireites have also lost 2 of their last 3 games, losing 2-1 at Gillingham, losing at home to AFC Wimbledon and then drawing 1-1 away at Bradford in midweek.
Paul Cook told BBC Radio Sheffield:'We're in a point of transition and this club must be successful because the chairman has ploughed a lot of money into it. All my focus is on winning at Dagenham on Saturday. They put in a good performance against Bradford on Wednesday and they'll think this is a game that they can win.'
Wayne Burnett takes charge for the first time at home since taking over from John Still who left earlier this week to take over at Luton. He Has a fully fit squad to choose from with Billy Bingham, Kevin Maher, jake Reed and Dominic Green pushing for recalls.
Luke howell is an all action midfielder who loves to make runs into the box and he has scored 9 goals this season for the Daggers.
Defensive Midfielder Sam Togwell and Foward Armand Gnanduillet have both recovered from injury and are available for selection. Craig Clay and Tendayi Darikwa are unavaible both suffering with double hernia. Sam Hird is back to lead the side after serving his two match suspension. Jack Lester is doubtful having not trained all week suffering from a virus.
Midfield playmaker Danny Whitaker has been in superb form this season, he loves playing just behind the striker, makes darting runs and always looking for space, he's always looking to play ball to feet and likes to shoot from distance.
Spireites have only played at Victoria Road 3 times, losing twice and winning once. Overall the Spireite have won 1, drawn 3 and lost 3.
During the first half of the season the daggers were awarded 8 penalties the most in League 2 converting 5 of them. The Spireites have yet to win a penalty in the league this season.
Also during the First half of the season they only managed to score twice in the opening 15 minutes of games, the joint lowest in league 2.
Trevor Kettle is in charge of this match, it is the first time he's refereed Chesterfield this season. In his 3 previous matches the Spireites have won all 3. 2011/12 a 4-0 home victory against Wycombe, 2010/11 a 3-1 win against Gillingham and a 4-1 win against Stockport both at home. Dagenham have lost 3 and drawn 1 of the last 4 he's been in charge. This season he has given out 108 yellows and 5 reds in the 28 games he's refereed.
I'm going for 1-0 win for the Spireites, hopefully the team can put in a good performance and get back to their winning ways.
Another away fixture, this time a Tuesday night trip to Cheltenham.
