The Spireites take on the bottom club, last time that happened Barnet came and won 1-0. This time AFC Wimbledon are the visitors, they lost their last game, losing 3-0 at Port Vale, before that they drew 3 games in a row. If Chesterfield want to keep their play-off hopes alive they must win today. Although they will have to do it without Darikwa due to having an hernia op next week. Drew Talbot is back after breaking his toe. The Spireites have been performing well in recent weeks, creating lots of chances, it's important they become more clinical in front of goal.
Paul Cook talking to the official website said: 'They're (AFC Wimbledon) bottom of the league with not a lot to lose. We're expected to beat them, we expect to beat them, but our mentality must be right. How we start Saturday is vital. If we start at the right tempo and do the right things it'll become a good afternoon. If we do it at the wrong tempo, we do the wrong things, it'll become a very difficult and uncomfortable afternoon.'
The Spireites are without Tendayi Darikwa he needs an hernia operation. Drew Talbot is back after recovering from a broken toe.
Jay O'Shea will be the one to watch he plays just behind Richards, and they're staring to build a good partnership together, he took his chance well at Rochdale and will be a constant threat to the visitors defence.
AFC Wimbledon welcome back defender Jonathan Meades from international duty but midfielder Harry Pell is still missing through suspension. Will Antwi remains a doubt with a hip injury but fellow defender Curtis Osano is fully fit after recovering from a calf problem.
The tall striker scored 18 goals for AFC Wimbledon last season in League 2. He became the first player in the clubs history to score for his club against MK Dons when they met for the first time in their history in the FA Cup in December.
This is the first time AFC Wimbledon have played in Chesterfield. The real Dons have started slowly in the opening 15 minutes of games, they have the joint worst record in League 2 scoring just twice. They also have the joint worst record for conceding in the first 15 minutes which is 10, these records are from the first half of the season. They've have conceded the most goals from set plays conceding 14 including 8 from corners.
Iain Williamson from Berkshire is in charge of this fixture. He last refereed a Chesterfield game last season at Brentford, the Spireites losing 2-1, there was 25 fouls although there was no cards shown. He refereed two AFC Wimbledon games last season and gave 5 yellows out in each game.
I feel the Spireites are due some goals and I feel that AFC Wimbledon could be on the receiving end today. So I'm going to go for a 5-0 win for the Spireites
Next it's the biggest game of the season for the Spireites as they visit the New York Stadium for the first time to take on their local rivals Rotherham.
