Wycombe Wanderers vs. Chesterfield

Adams Park

The Spireites Travel To Wycombe

The Spireites will be looking to get back to winning ways at Wycombe who are currently in 19th place. Having lost at Accrington Stanley on the New Years in a game they dominated they will see this match as an opportunity to get their promotion ambitions back on track. Wycombe have won 2 and lost 2 of their last 4 League games, although they also lost on New Years Day, a 1-0 defeat at home to Exeter.

Vital Quotes:

Cook talking to the club website said: 'When we scored against Cheltenham early on, Hartlepool early on, Port Vale. We go on to dominate the games and look very good. When we end up chasing games, we don't look good. So it's important that we get back to what we are good at, which is scoring first and dominating games. My job as manager is to try and get the results as quickly as possible and it's something we are looking forward to doing at Wycombe on Saturday.'

Wycombe Wanderers Team News:

Dean Morgan could start against his former club after recovering from an hamstring injury. Midfielder Josh Scowen (hamstring) is unlikely to return. Leon Johnson is back in training and could be named in the squad. Danny Foster, Matt Bloomfield and Gary Doherty remain on the sidelines.

Player to watch: Matt McClure

Matt McClure has established himself in the first team this season having come through the Youth Ranks, he was loaned out in the last 3 seasons. The striker as scored 7 goals from 10 starts including 2 goals against Rotherham, helping his team win 3-2 at the New York Stadium.

Chesterfield Team News:

Chesterfield have everyone available apart from Townsend who serves his second match ban having been sent off against Morecambe. Whittaker and O'Shea could make the starting line up, as Cook decides wether to go back to the 4-2-3-1 line-up.

Player to watch: Tendayi Darikwa

Tendayi Darikwa the young winger as been terrorising defences with his trickery and explosive pace this season he also as a good eye for goal.

Match Facts & Stats

Chesterfield have a good home record against Wycombe winning 9 drawing 1 and losing 4, so it's a shame they are away because their record is not so good having only won 2 drawn 4 and lost 7.

Ref Watch:

James Linington is the man in charge of this fixture. In the 38 games he refereed last season he gave out 130 yellows and 8 reds.

Match Prediction:

I feel Chesterfield will be determined to win this match and will take the match to Wycombe. I feel the Spireites will prove too much for a struggling Wycombe side.

Next Fixtures:

Next up is Northampton at the Proact Stadium who currently 10th in league 2.
