The two form teams in the League 2, do battle against each other. Southend are currently in sixth position. Paul Sturrock received Manager of the Month Award for November, although they have only won 1 of their last 4 League fixtures. It should be a good end to end battle with both teams playing attacking free flowing football. The Spireites will be trying to make it 6 games unbeaten, if Southend manage to avoid defeat they will have gone 12 League games unbeaten.
Cook talking to the club website said: 'Southend are in good form, they're a very good strong club at League Two level, they've got play-off experience, they've got a lot of experienced players. It will be a tough game tomorrow night for us. It will also be very tough for Southend. Tomorrow night at Southend we'll go there to win the match. We'll go there to entertain our travelling support and to come back with 3 points. '
Southend have no fresh injury worries has they welcome back Mark Phillips after recovering from a knee op.
Kevan Hurst a former Spireite will be a real threat for Southend, he can play either on the flank or in the centre of midfield. A creative player he has already got 13 assists and 3 goals from 27 games for Southend this season.
Luis Boa Morte (hamstring) is Doubtful. Jack Lester starts the first of his 3 match ban.
Mark Randall is starting to become the Spireites most creative player, capable of picking out any kind of pass. The playmaker will be looking to open up the Sothend defence, he also has a good shot on him.
The Spireites have won 8 drawn 7 lost 8 at Roots Hall. The Spireites have won 3 of their last 5 matches at Southend, their last victory a 3-2 win on the 8th of January 2011, a goal from Smalley and 2 penalties from Whittaker.
Rob Lewis will be in charge of this game. The last time he was in charge of a game involving the Spireites, they lost 5-2 at Oldham. He has refereed 14 games so far this season, giving out 45 yellows and no reds.
I predict an hard fought out draw, with both teams going for the win and trying to dominate, a draw would probably be a fair result.
