The Spireites Travel To Plymouth

The Spireites travel to Plymouth full of confidence after a brilliant Performance against Cheltenham in midweek, beating them 4-1. Plymouth have been struggling this season and with key players missing like Purse and Wotton it won't be easy.

Vital Quotes:

Cook Speaking to the club website said: 'I want to maintain the level we played at Tuesday night, if we don't win and we play like that I don't have a problem.'

Plymouth Team News:

On-loan midfielder Mark Molesley will go straight into the squad. Captain Darren Purse misses this through suspension after being red carded against Fleetwood. Scott Griffiths who had loan spells at the Spireites as gone back to Peterborough. Plymouth legend and former captain Paul Wotton (back) remains out until mid-December. Rhys Griffiths (hamstring) missed Argyles last 2 games.

Player to watch: Nick Chadwick

Striker Nick Chadwick scored the fastest ever Plymouth goal after just 11. 83 seconds against Crystal palace in 2005. The six foot target man has a eye for goal.

Chesterfield Team News:

Cook should start with the same eleven that beat Cheltenham 4-1, they all deserve to keep their places after that performance. Randall (shin) is still doubtful.

Player to watch: Chris Atkinson

Their are several players that will cause Plymouth problems, but I feel that midfielder Atkinson will be the one to watch, he makes good runs into the box and can score goals. He has scored a goal in each of his last two matches, including a late winner against Oxford.

Match Facts & Stats

The Spireites have bad memories of their last visit, losing 7-0 in 2003/4 season. their record is won 4 drawn 10 lost 13. In total the Spireites have won 16 with Plymouth winning 21.

Ref Watch:

Phil Gibbs will be in charge of today's game. The Deputy Headteacher is often at the centre of attention. Occasionally it is because of his secondary job as a Football League referee. If Phil has been involved in any on-pitch incidents and they have been highlighted on the television, his pupils will let him know their views in the nicest possible way of course.

Match Prediction:

I'm going to go for a win for the Spireites, I think they will have too much for a struggling Plymouth side, who are missing key players.

Next Fixtures:

Tranmere away in the FA Cup round 2, which will not be easy against the highflying League One side. It's the Cup so you never know.
