Tommy Lee Set To Start For The Spireites

Chesterfield
vs.
Hartlepool

Proact Stadium

Saturday 3rd November

3.00pm

Chesterfield have not beat a league team in the F.A. Cup since 1997 when they beat Wrexham in the quarter finals. This might be their best chance against a manager less Hartlepool who have yet to win away from home this season. Their only league win coming against Scunthorpe on 1st of September. Hopefully a bumper crowd will be their to cheer the Spireites on to victory.

Vital Quotes:

Taken from Chesterfield Post, Paul Cook said: 'Very bright, very good! The lads have really worked hard this week with a good tempo to their training and now we're looking forward to a fantastic cup tie on Saturday. I think most people would agree we have good players at the club, for whatever reason, there's something that's been going a little bit wrong. Manager's jobs are to try and put it right, it's that simple.'

Chesterfield Team News:

A defensive headache for Cook, he will be without Sam Hird(suspended), also Trotman is out after picking up an injury in the reserve game. Liam Ridehalph will not be allowed as Huddersfield have not given permission for him to play and will be replaced by Nathan Smith. Forbes will either partner Liam Cooper or Jack Broadhead. Boa Morte(groin), Mark Allott (hamstring) and Marc Rchards(hamstring) are all still unavailable. Westcarr( hamstring) is doubtful. Good News Tommy Lee is set to start after playing for the reserves in midweek.

Player to watch: Tommy Lee

Tommy Lee back from injury will be important to the Spireites, he will give confidence to the back line. if it hadn't been for his vital saves last the season the team wouldn't have won the Johnstones Paint Trophy.

Hartlepool Team News:

Andy Monkhouse(ankle) is still unavailable, as is Luke James having just undergone a double hernia operation. Ryan Noble will partner Steve Howard upfront if his parent club Sunderland give him permission to play.

Player to watch: Steve Howard

Steve Howard the experienced veteran striker will be a big threat in the air.

Match Facts & Stats

Spireites have a good home record against Hartlepool having won 25, drawing losing 8. Scoring 87 conceding 39. Their away record they have won 12, drawn 6 and lost 20, scoring 41 goals conceding 64.

Ref Watch:

Christopher Sarginson is the Ref for today's game. In his first 5 league games this season he gave out 16 yellows and 2 reds.

Match Prediction:

I am going to be positive this week and go for a 2-1 win for the Spireites. Although Hartlepool are a league above, they are currently bottom and without a manager. I feel the Spireites with Cook in charge will be highly motivated and determined to make up for the defeat in their last game.

Next Fixtures:

The Spireites travel to Bradford on Tuesday hoping to make it three away wins in a row.
