League 2 MOTM April Nomination (Cook)

The April nominations for the Sky Bet League 2 Manager of the Month Award are:

Andy Awford (Portsmouth)
Awford has made a seamless transition into first-team management after being appointed in March. Thirteen points from 15 in an April full of attacking intent took Portsmouth from the brink of relegation to the comforts of mid-table.

Phil Brown (Southend United)
Led Southend to 10 points from five games, including a marvellous 3-0 win at classy Rochdale. He stayed calm when his side hit a rough patch of form, and has drawn his reward in April as they confidently sealed a Play-Off place.

Paul Cook (Chesterfield)
Kinder weather helped his side use its passing style on more receptive pitches. Eleven points from five unbeaten games, including away wins at Hartlepool United, Dagenham & Redbridge and Burton Albion, sealed promotion to Sky Bet League 1 with a game to spare.

Chris Wilder (Northampton Town)
Appears to have judged Northampton's great escape to perfection. Made training fun which has bred confidence and teamwork as well as inspiring a haul of three wins - all with clean sheets - and one draw from five fixtures.
