'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Spireites To Play Leeds In Capital One Cup.

It's a great draw for the Spireites, the last time the two teams met was also in the League Cup in 1960, Leeds United won 4-0 at Saltergate, with Billy Bremner amongst the goal scorers.

They have a lot of experienced players in their squad, including midfielder Luke Varley who made 30 Premier League appearances for Blackpool.

Expericed Left-back Stephen Warnock who made 40 Premier League appearances for Liverpool before moving to Blackburn Rovers and Aston Villa.

Striker/winger Ross McCormack will be one of danger men, he has made 98 League appearances, scoring 25 goals for the club and has also made 8 appearances for Scotland scoring 2 goals.

Last but not least El hadji Diouf the controversial striker/winger who was once accused of spitting at the West ham fans while warming up has a sub for Liverpool, he escaped punishment because there was no evidence.

He has made 36 league appearances for Leeds scoring 5 goals, he has also made 69 international appearance for Senegal scoring 21 goals.

The game will take place during the week commencing August 5, full ticket information will be announced by the club at a later date.

There should be a lot of interest for this game with a majority of fans that have never been to Elland Road, plus it's not too far for the fans to travel, it promises to be a memorable occasion..
