Two Marine Players To Join On Trial
Matty Brown centre back 22, spent 5 seasons and played over 150 games for Tranmere Rovers youth before joining Manchester City. He played over 100 games for their reserves, scoring 10 goals and he also captained the team.
John Shaw is a versatile player who progressed through to the first team and has established himself at the heart of the Marine defence. He can also play at full back.
They will arrive at the Proact in July and will probably play against Buxton on the 6th.
They were recommended to the Spireites by their former manager Kevin Lynch who is now part of the back room staff at Chesterfield.
Brazier talking to the media said: 'We obviously wish them all the best in their trials. As a friend I hope they do very well there, and I am sure they will do themselves justice. But as a manager, with my selfish head on, I hope they stay at Marine because the team will be weaker without those two players.'
It's great to see the Spireites looking further a field and giving young players a chance, by doing this they could discover a gem that could prove a real asset to the club.
