Sheffield Wednesday To Visit The Proact.

The last time the two teams met at The Proact was in the 2011-12 season, when the Spireites claimed the bragging rights by beating their local rivals 1-0 thanks to a Dean Morgan penalty.

Sheffield Wednesday won promotion to the Championship at the end of that season with the Spireites being relegated to League Two. It's been a tough season for the Owls at one time looking like they were going to go straight back down, they managed to recover and put a good run together and managed to avoid relegation.

This season they will be hoping to be in the top half of the table and challenging for a play-off spot. Hopefully the fixture will attract a big crowd, which will create a great atmosphere. This will be the Spireites last home pre-season friendly fixture, so a win and a good performance would put them in good stead for the start of the season.
