Whitaker rumoured to be joining Plymouth
Danny Whitaker released by the Spireites at the end of the season after making 106 league appearances, scoring 21 goals. He was signed by John Sheridan in 2010 from Oldham Athletic he played a big part in helping the Club lift the 2010/11 League 2 title.
Having already played under Sheridan at Oldham he decided to link up with the boss at the Spireites. He played well under Cook last season, but finally lost his place to a much improved Randall. Not in Cook's plans he was released and Sheridan a big admire of Whitaker looks like he has managed to get him for the third time.
Sheridan now at Plymouth who performed a minor miracle to keep the club in the football league after looking Odds on favourites to go down. He will look to the playmaker Whitaker to help his team push for promotion.
I would like to wish Danny good luck and thank him for providing some great memories from the Championship winning season.
