A Trip To The Silverlands For The Spireites.

Buxton play at The Silverlands the highest ground in England at 1,000 feet above sea level. Capacity is around 5,200 with a covered main stand holding 500 with 2 covered terraces providing accommodation for a total of 2,000.

Nicknamed the Bucks they were founded in 1877 and joined the combination league in 1891. They then joined the Manchester League in 1899 and won the championship in 1932. They reached the 3rd round of the FA Cup in the 1951-52 season. They won the Cheshire County League in 1972-73 season. They became Northern East Champions in 2005-6 season and then the following season became Northern Premier League Champions.

They currently play in the Northern Premier League Premier Division, they finished 7th this season just outside the play-offs. Their top scorer was Mark Reed 31, he scored 23 goals from 44 appearances last season. He first joined the Bucks in 2002 becoming an instant favourites with the fans earning 2 Player of the Season Awards and in 2006 he won the Non League Paper's National Player of the Year Award. He left the club in the summer of 2010 and then returned to the club from Chester in September 2011. He is Buxton's most prolific goalscorer of all time.

They are currently managed by former Rotherham United and Mansfield Town player Martin Macintosh who took over in 2012.
