'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Richards Nominated For the Player Of The Month.

It's been a difficult first season for Marc having played under three different managers, and mainly used as a lone striker. It took him a while to settle into the team, and just as he was beginning to find form he got injured.

He still managed to score 12 goals and finish as the clubs leading goal scorer. He scored against his former club Port Vale, he hit a wonderful brace at Fleetwood and then scored in the last game of the season against Exeter.

The other nominees are Rotherham midfielder Michael O'Connor and central defender Chris Smith from York City.

Good luck Marc I hope you win this Award.

I am sure next season you will be winning lots of accolades and Awards and hopefully reaching the 20 goal target.

With Doyle signing from Hibernian, he will have some one he can feed off, because Marc would often go into midfield to get the ball. His work rate in the last six games was immense and in a settled side Marc should thrive and hopefully the goals will come thick and fast.
