Conor Townsend Extends Loan Until May 18th

Conor Townsend who was sent off during the game against Morecambe in which he scored a fantastic free kick, as had his loan extended. Obviously he has done enough for Cook to extend his loan, even though he has only made 3 appearances for the Spireites.

He can play at left back or left midfield, it gives Cook more options and provides cover in case there's injuries. The 19 year old Hull youngster has extended his loan until 18th of May. So if the Spireites do reach the play-offs he will be eligible to play.

After a very busy January for the Spireites , I should imagine there will be no more players coming into club. Cook has got very strong squad that can push for promotion.

I would like to thank Conor for extending his loan with the club. Could you please produce a few more free-kicks. Like the one you scored from, can't remember the last time we had a free-kick specialist.

A big difference this season compared to last season is how many loan players we have at the club, we only have Townsend compared to about half dozen we had. It's hard to bond a team together when you have so many loanees it disrupts the team, because you might only have them for a few months or they might get called back by their club.
