Richard Brindley signs for the Spireites

Richard Brindley 19 joined Norwich City at the age of 9, he was released in the summer of 2012. He signed for Chelmsford City who currently play in the Blue Square Bet South League.

He has made 24 appearances for the club, winning Man Of the Match on 3 occasions, contributing 2 assists and scoring 1 goal, he plays at RIght Back although he can play in midfield.

Credit to him for going to Chelmsford City and it looks like it as worked for him, because he now gets a chance to play in the football league. It must have been difficult for him having been at Norwich all that time and then being released. This move as come about because of some impressive performances this season.

The thrill of working with Richard to secure his place in the Football League is tremendous and I believe Chesterfield have landed themselves a very good player indeed.'
