Cooper signed for undisclosed fee.

Liam Cooper who as impressed since signing on loan from Hull City making 11 appearances and scoring 2 goals. He has signed a 2 and a half year contract after the two clubs struck a deal, coming to the Spireites for an undisclosed fee.

Cooper impressed Cook when he played in a reserve match at the Proact for Hull City against Chesterfield. He was that impressed with what he saw that he got him on loan for a month. He became an instant hit with the fans, establishing himself in the team and forming a good understanding with team Captain Sam Hird.

He progressed thought the youth ranks for his hometown club Hull City, making his first appearance as a 16 year old against Swansea in a League Cup tie in 2008. His league debut came against Liverpool at Anfield and he went on to make 17 appearances for the Tigers.

Although Cook as yet to bring anyone in, he has signed 2 players that will both have big parts to play in the future progress of the club, having also signed Tommy Lee this week.

The fans are over the moon that the board have allowed Cook to bring in Cooper who is still only 21. It shows the ambition of the club by buying someone of Coopers ability.
