Westcarr And Trotman Put On Transfer List

Craig Westcarr who was signed from Notts County in August 2011, the Spireites were short of fire power so he was signed. He his one of the highest wage earners at the club, so in order for Cook to bring his own players in he needs to release players.

Westcarr will always be remembered for his goal at Wembley, which sealed the victory over Swindon in the Johnstones Paint Trophy Final.

Neal Trotman came from Rochdale, with Dean Holden going the other way. It wasnt going to easy for him because Holden was the fans favourite, he always put his body on the line the Spireites. The fans did start warming to him, because he didn't take no prisoners, they would chant 'Trotman the animal'. He has struggled this season to find his form. He was Captain last season and promised it this, until Sheridan signed Hird and made him skipper in order to sign him, so this could have been a factor too, he has moved down the pecking order behind Cooper and 18 year old Broadhead, who was last week given a Contract by Cook.

It didn't look good for them when they were both taken off at half time in a reserve match at home to Hull City, which they lost 4-2.

Cook speaking to the club Website said: 'Craig and Neal have both done well for this club but we feel their futures lie elsewhere. The likelihood is that they'll both leave in the near future but, while they're here, we'll pay them the utmost respect. '

Good luck to them both and thanks for helping the Spireites win the Johnstones Paint Trophy last season.

Micah Evans has gone back to Blackburn, his loan didn't run out until January. Cook talking to the club website said: 'I'd like to thank Micah for coming to the club and getting some first-team experience. Due to the lack of oppurtunities for him, we feel it's beneficial for the lads career for him to go back to Blackburn.'

I would like to wish Micah all the best for the future.
