'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Spireites sign Boa Morte

The former Arsenal, Fulham and West Ham player signed for the Spireites until January. 'The most important thing for me now is to play football and get going . I'll be here until end of January but that doesn't mean that I won't stay until the end of the season'.

This is a great signing for the club, and a lot of praise as to be given to the player. He just wants to play football, it's not for financial reasons like a lot of players. So it is refreshing that a player of his ability as chosen to play at Chesterfield. It was only because of a chance meeting with Mark Crossley , his ex team mate at Fulham that all this became possible.

Boa Morte as mainly played as an attacking wide forward although he has played as a conventional centre midfielder. He as made 335 league appearances, scoring 47 goals in english football mainly in the Premier League. He as also made 29 international appearances for Portugal. He as been training with Fulham after playing in South Africa for Orlando Pirates and MLS outfit Toronto FC.

The club are hoping that he can make his debut on Saturday when they play Dagenham and Redbridge at home, if international clearance is received in time.
