Sheridan resigns as Chesterfield Manager

Sheridan had been put on gardening leave after only 3 games in charge from the start of this season. This mean't he was unable to get another job in management. He is now free to apply for management posts, maybe it's just a coincidence that a League One side today sacked their manager.

The Club issued a statement saying: 'The club wishes to record it's appreciation of Mr Sheridan's achievements in leading the club to promotion from League Two to League One in the 2010/11 season and winning the Johnstone's Paint Trophy'.

I would like to thank him for the great memories he gave us, the amazing day out at Wembley, and lifting the League 2 Championship Trophy in our first season at our new home.

All i'm going to say on the matter is, i saw him the day he was relieved of his duties, you could see in his eyes that he was visibly upset. I hope he does get another crack at management (south coast maybe?), i like your good self would like to thank him for the memories and legacy he left behind.
